Simple snoring, in most people, is caused because the amount of air going into the body is reduced. The body will increase the air flow to compensate for the reduced amount of air. By increasing the air flow, the velocity of the air entering the body is increased, thereby causing fine tissues at the base of the throat to vibrate. This increase in air velocity and the vibration of tissue, creates the snoring noise.

The ZX prevents the tongue and mandible (lower jaw) from falling back and blocking the airway. It's simple, you get more air and you don't snore!

How does it work?

The ZX stops the snoring noise by preventing the jaw and tongue from dropping back into the airway. The first night you wear the appliance should be a quiet night. It takes only a few nights to fully adapt to wearing the ZX. By the end of the week you should be sleeping quietly all night long. The adjustable ZX is 87% effective in treating snoring and mild to moderate sleep apnea.

Much like glasses, the ZX is a painless treatment for snoring and causes no permanent changes to your body. Your appliance will last approximately 1½ to 2 years. On some patients who grind their teeth the life span may be reduced.

The appliances have been evaluated by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA registered), and have given the appliances their 510(k) approval. It is also CE registered.

The FDA requires that all anti-snoring appliances, including the ZX be fitted by a professional. The FDA clarifies a professional as either a medical doctor, dentist or chiropractor.
